Two defenders can't work together.

Objective. Create a simplified 1v2 for the defenders.

Organization. Basic field with two small goals at each end.

Rules. No goalkeepers. Starting positions. 2 defenders mark 1 attacker in front of their own goal. 1 attacker starts in front of his goal with the ball. The other 4 stay deep inside the attackers half. Game starts when the attacker plays the ball up to the striker. (Have a throw at first, then let the player choose between dribbling out, throwing deep or throwing to his other teammates.) Players in 1v2 are free to move, game is live on release. Restart from either goal. This is a simplified version of the numbers up (breakout) game and an advanced variation of the reload game.

TIC. The defenders are faced with a ball coming out to them. They will have to work together to intercept, press and cover. As game builds they will face attackers coming at them from deep positions. Decision making and communication are tested.
